What Death Taught Me About Living Well
I didn’t write anything in March.
Not because I didn’t have time.
Not because I didn’t have ideas.
I just didn’t want to.
Sometimes life hits you sideways, and the best thing you can do is pause.
My dad passed away recently.
And while I’ve shared that before, what I haven’t really talked about is what it made me realise.
Because when someone dies, everything slows down.
Your schedule clears itself.
Your usual priorities fall away.
And in that space, you start to see things differently.
Here’s what I saw:
1. Your Health is Your Entire Life.
When your health goes—nothing else matters.
Not your business.
Not your goals.
Not your six-pack or your macros or your morning routine.
We talk a lot about optimisation, high performance, fat loss, muscle…
But none of that matters if your body is falling apart behind the scenes.
If you don’t feel good, nothing works properly.
Not your energy.
Not your mind.
Not your relationships.
2. Time is Never Guaranteed.
We act like we’ve got decades to fix things.
To get in shape.
To slow down.
To take care of ourselves.
But that’s not always how life plays out.
Most people don’t realise they’re running themselves into the ground until it’s too late to undo the damage.
They wait until the warning signs show up loud—injury, illness, exhaustion.
Or worse, something happens that forces them to stop.
3. You Don’t Need to Earn Your Rest.
This was a big one for me.
I took some time off and didn’t post. Didn’t train hard. Didn’t stick to any routine.
And nothing fell apart.
The world didn’t end.
Sometimes the best thing you can do is let yourself reset—fully.
The work you’ve already done doesn’t disappear because you take a break.
Progress doesn’t rely on perfection—it relies on consistency over time.
I’m Back Now, But…
I’m not in beast mode.
I’m not here to “smash it.”
I’m just clear.
Clear on what actually matters...
Clear on who I want to help.
And clear on how important it is to get your health right—without waiting for something to shake you awake.
So if you’ve been all over the place lately...
Struggling with motivation.
Falling off track.
Wasting energy chasing results that never stick—Let this be your sign to do something different.
Your health is the foundation of everything else.
And the longer you wait to get it right, the harder it becomes to fix.
If you’re ready to start again—without the burnout, the extremes, or giving up the things you love—I’ll help you build something that actually lasts.
Let’s do this properly.
